About Sanga
General Information
Sanga (also Igbunbu) is a Local Government Area in southern Kaduna State, Nigeria. Its administrative headquarters is in the town of Gbantu (Hausa: Gwantu).
Sanga LGA was established to promote local governance and drive development within the area. The history of Sanga is deeply connected to its indigenous peoples and their cultural heritage.
The LGA has an area of 1,821 km² and a population of 151,485 at the 2006 census. It is home to several indigenous ethnic groups including Ninzam (Ninzo), Numana, Mada, and Ayu, as well as Hausa and Fulani communities.
